As it has been announced, ResearcherID numbers will be used to prevent problems related to the name and institution ambiguity within the scholarly research community including the researchers, scientists, and academicians.

Within the scope of studies conducted in collaboration with the TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), an ORCID has been decided to be used as the ResearcherID.

ORCID stands for Open Researcher and Contributor ID. The ORCID is a URI with a 16-digit number which is compatible with the ISO Standards (ISO 27729).

Therefore, the ORCID IDs, which are globally valid codes, is recommended to be used by the authors. With the update of the TR Index evaluation criteria by 2018, the use of ORCID IDs will be added as a criterion for the journals.

The ORCID IDs of all authors, but not only of the first author, must be added in the manuscript.

You can search for registered ORCID IDs at https://orcid.org/orcid-search/search web adress. If you or other authors haven't registered an ORCID ID before, you or they can register it at https://orcid.org/register web address.
